SUMMARY:Maroon Bells- King Hill- Ashcroft Road Race
DESCRIPTION:Course Description: Both the short and long courses share the first 25 miles. From the start at Aspen Highlands ski area\, racers turn left up Maroon Creek Road to the Maroon Bells. You will turn around at the exit to the main parking lot and descend back down past Aspen Highlands. In order to by-pass the roundabout on Highway 82\, riders will be routed to Castle Creek via the bike path. You will enter the bike path from Maroon Creek Rd where it intersects with High School Road\, after you have passed the Football Field and Bus Parking Lot for the Aspen School district. The bike path is a neutral zone – no racing and no passing! Please use care and ride cautiously through this portion of the route. You may encounter pedestrians on the path. Veer right on the bike path\, uphill above the Aspen Chapel to Meadowood Drive. Take a left on Meadowood Drive and follow it to Castle Creek Road and take a right. Once on Castle Creek Road\, the neutral section is over and it’s game on with an ascent up to Little Annie Road. \nShort Course Finish: The short course will finish at the Little Annie Road (approximately 6.8 miles from the roundabout). The short course is 25 miles long with 2\,600 feet of climbing. \nLong Course Finish: From the short course finish at the Little Annie Road racers will continue up past Ashcroft to the end of the pavement at the top of the Castle Creek Road (approximately 12.9 miles from the roundabout). They will then turn around and ride back down to the finish line at the Little Annie Road. The long course is 36 miles with 3\,400 feet of climbing.

DESCRIPTION:The route encompasses some of the Roaring Fork Valley’s most iconic climbs.  Choose 36 miles\, 62 miles\, or 103 miles\, with aid stations at the top of each climb and finish line BBQ.  Each distance option will build on the previous\, so if you are feeling great\, keep going. If you aren’t feeling it\, we have 2 options to shorten the ride.

SUMMARY:Ride for the Pass
DESCRIPTION:About the 2025 Ride for the Pass\, May 18\, 10:30am \nThe Ride has two finish lines: The first at Weller Lake turnout\, just over two miles from the starting line for families and recreational riders\, and the second at the Independence ghost town site ten miles from the start. All riders doing the ten mile Independence route are timed and included in the competitive category for their respective age groups; all Weller riders are untimed. In addition\, E-bikes—category 1/pedal assist ONLY—are welcome to ride.  They will be in their own\, untimed category\, starting 10 minutes after the timed riders\, and will NOT be eligible for prizes associated with placing. \nWinning race times to Independence are usually around 40 minutes\, with most riders finishing in less than two hours. \nThere are aid stations and turnaround sites at various points along the route.
