DESCRIPTION:Escape the summer heat and join former world tour rider George Hincapie for an unforgettable ride in Bangor\, ME\, as Hincapie Events takes the Ultimate Cycling Experience WAY up north! \nEvent & Course Info\nRide options start with the Gran route spanning ~80 miles\, ~5000 feet of elevation gain\, two timed segments\, and epic views of the Penobscot River and Bay.  The Medio route is perfect for those looking for a slightly less intense\, although still challenging\, tour of the region.  The Medio route spans ~52 miles and ~3000 feet of elevation gain\, including one timed section and three rest stops.   Finally\, the Piccolo route at ~15 miles is the perfect ride for riders looking to dip their toes into the Hincapie experience with ~640 ft of elevation gain. \nRegistration in any course includes SAG support\, fully stocked rest stops\, an event jersey\, a timing chip\, free rider photos\, and food and beverages at the post-race Rider Festival at Bangor’s Waterfront Park. The awards ceremony occurs at 3:30 PM\, and the celebration continues at an after-party open to all participants and Gran Fondo Hincapie supporters.
