DESCRIPTION:The 24 Hours in the Old Pueblo 2026 (24HOP) isn’t just any mountain biking event—it’s one of the largest 24-hour events in the world\, and considered to be one of the Best Mountain Bike Events in the Southwest and one of the Best Cycling Race Events in Arizona. Located north of Tucson\, AZ in the mesmerizing Sonoran Desert\, this race offers an unparalleled experience\, not only to the participants but also to the volunteers and sponsors. Produced by Epic Rides and coined the “Sonoran Singletrack Sensation\,” the event coincides with the President’s Day holiday weekend\, making it a festive occasion. With daytime temperatures often touching 70 degrees and backed by the peaceful vibes of the Sonoran Desert\, the ambiance is further amplified by a vibrant industry bike and gear expo\, and 24 hours of music. This year the event sold out in 1 hr 5 min\, to give you a sense of its popularity. \nBeers\, costumes\, good food\, crazy people on bikes\, and late nights; there are not many things in the Mountain Bike calendar\, or sports calendar for that matter\, that can compare to the experience of a 24-hour mountain bike race – they always seem to attract the best of the best and the word of the weird in the sports community\, and we’re all here for it! It’s even been dubbed “the Burning Man of mountain bike events”. SUMMARY:El Tour de Tucson
DESCRIPTION:his year will mark the 41st annual edition of El Tour de Tucson  one of Arizona’s largest and longest-running participative events. Held the Saturday before Thanksgiving every year\, Perimeter Bicycling Association  brings together this fundraising ride that features nearly 7\,500 cyclists of all ages and abilities from the United States and worldwide. Participants range from novice to professional as they ride the 102 (Century)\, 63 (Metric Century)\, and 32-mile (Half Metric Century) rides. Fun Ride distances are 3 and 1 mile (and a 5k run/walk)\, bringing great options for kids and families.  Main event routes feature beautiful landscapes of Tucson and Southern Arizona and the crisp\, cool air of the Tucson winter. Of course\, mountain ranges and the desert’s signature saguaro cactus are highlighted throughout the route. Course profiles range from flat to rolling or moderately hilly. Over its 40-year history\, it has continued to grow in popularity – one participant shared\, “Loved the ride. This is the 18th time I’ve done the ride and hope it comes back next year bigger and better.”

DESCRIPTION:About the Gathering\n\nThe Bicycle Event Directors Gathering is a coming together of bicycle event directors\, promoters and professionals.  This is a free networking event that is hosted by El Tour de Tucson and Bike the Bay San Diego. \nFor many years bicycle event directors gathered as part of the Bicycle Tour Network (BTN)\, the National Bicycle Tour Directors Association (NBTDA) and the Bicycle Ride Directors’ Association of America (BRDAA) to name a few of associations that convened bike event professionals.  Since COVID\, there has been no mass gathering of bicycle ride directors.  So we want to change that! \nThe mission of the Gathering is to provide a friendly\, interactive forum to share ideas and concerns about promoting\, producing and managing bicycle events in today’s environment.  Events include recreational rides\, races\, gran fondos\, awareness rides\, multi-day tours and small bike tours ridden on a variety of bicycles. \nDiscussion topics will include: Event Management / Route Planning / Permitting / Mapping / Medical / Aid Stations / Marketing & Promotions / Volunteers / Law Enforcement & Public Safety / Communications / Community Relations / Insurance / Registration / Accommodations & RVs / Merchandise / Sponsorship / Staffing / Financing & Budgeting / Grants / Awards / Media
