Bike Anchorage is a local non-profit advocacy organization, formed in 2008 to make Anchorage more bicycle-friendly. A bicycle-friendly city is one where it is safe and convenient to travel by bike. Bike Anchorage advocates for viable, efficient, comfortable and safe bicycle transportation. The organization has three program areas: Encouragement to get you biking, education to help you make good choices while on your bike, and advocacy to make sure city planners support the safest designs for all users of the roads and pathways.
