About

LARRY'S CYCLE SHOP was a beloved, long-standing bicycle shop in the Marine Park neighborhood of Brooklyn, New York, serving the community since 1965. For over 55 years, the family-owned business provided a full range of services, including sales of new bicycles for all ages and levels, a wide selection of cycling accessories, and expert repair services. Known for its deep roots in the local cycling scene, the shop was a fixture on Flatbush Avenue, where it was run by owner Joe Ottofaro, affectionately known as Muggsy. The shop was a local institution, often cited as the place where generations of Brooklynites bought their first bikes. It officially closed its doors in 2024 after 60 years of operation.
