About

The Albany Bicycle Coalition (ABC) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to advocating for bicycling in the Capital Region of New York State. Founded in 2004, its mission is to promote bicycling as an energy-efficient, environmentally-friendly, and cost-effective means of transportation and recreation. ABC advocates for improved bicycle infrastructure, such as bike lanes, multi-use paths, and bike racks, and supports "complete streets" policies that benefit all users, including pedestrians and the disabled. The coalition also works to advance legislation that improves safety and legal rights for cyclists and pedestrians. They host regular public meetings and maintain a mailing list to keep the community informed about local bicycling events and advocacy efforts.
