Since 1991, the non-profit Monongahela River Trails Conservancy has worked to construct, manage, and maintain the 48-mile Mon River and Deckers Creek Rail-Trails in North Central WV. This linear park creates opportunities for recreation, alternative transportation, tourism, and healthy lifestyles, transforming former industrial wastelands into a national example of environmental renewal.
