About
The Adirondack Cycling Club (ACC) is a recreational cycling organization dedicated to promoting all aspects of community bicycling in the North Country, primarily serving Clinton, Essex, and Franklin counties in New York. The club's mission is to sponsor and support recreational cycling activities, encourage bicycling as a beneficial form of exercise, a method of transportation, and a sport, while also supporting equal road rights. Membership is open to cyclists of all abilities, from beginners to experts. The ACC offers a variety of rides, including touring rides on weekends, shorter weekday rides (20-25 miles), and night-time rides as daylight diminishes. Notable annual events include the "Cinco de Mayo" season opener and the "Oceans of Color" fall ride. Members also receive benefits such as a free subscription to RIDEWITHGPS, access to an extensive library of local cycling routes, and supplemental accident insurance through the League of American Bicyclists.
