The Break-Away Bicycle Club of Kokomo was founded in 1986 to promote the bicycle as not only an excellent form of exercise and commuting, but more importantly, as an avenue to fun and camaraderie. The club organizes weekly group rides and three annual cycling events: the Polar Bear Ride, SunStroke 74, and Sizzling Century. They also make charitable donations to various local organizations.
