The Five Borough Bicycle Club (5BBC) is a non-profit organization dedicated to recreational, educational, and charitable cycling in and around New York City. Known as "New York's Friendliest Bike Club," 5BBC offers a wide variety of rides for all skill levels, from "Happy Face" rides for beginners to longer, fast-paced treks for advanced cyclists. The club emphasizes safety, using a point-drop-sweep system and pre-ride bike checks. They offer year-round rides, including summer Beach Bum rides and winter Frostbite Rides, as well as themed exploration and culinary adventure rides. Membership is affordable and includes weekly ride updates and discounts at local bike shops, fostering a strong community of passionate cyclists.
