The Friends of the Miners Memorial Heritage Park is the non-profit group dedicated to promoting, maintaining, and creating the park's extensive trail system. The park itself is a 165-acre reclaimed former iron ore mining site, now featuring over 10 miles of mountain bike trails designed for all skill levels. In addition to mountain biking, the park offers year-round recreation, including hiking, snowshoeing, and cross-country skiing, making it a central hub for outdoor activity in Ironwood.
