The Onondaga Cycling Club (OCC) is the premier cycling organization in Central New York, operating as a 501(c)(3) non-profit since 1972. Dedicated to promoting cycling for all abilities, the club organizes over 300 rides annually, ranging from casual, slow-paced evening rides to challenging century rides and multi-day vacation tours. The OCC is also involved in competitive cycling, hosting time trials, cyclocross races, and the Syracuse Race Weekend omnium. With a membership exceeding 500, the club provides a welcoming community, a comprehensive ride calendar, and resources like ride maps and an active listserv. The OCC is committed to safety, requiring helmets on all rides and promoting compliance with traffic laws. They also host an annual Fall Charity Ride to support local causes, reinforcing their role as a community-focused organization.
