Recycle-A-Bicycle is a community-based bike shop and a 501(c)(3) non-profit program of Bike New York, dedicated to building bikes and building communities. The organization is committed to the health, development, stewardship, and empowerment of NYC youth through innovative programs like Bike Path, Earn-A-Bike, High School Internships, and the Summer Youth Employment Program. They salvage and refurbish an average of 1,800 donated bicycles annually, diverting over 45,000 pounds of waste from NYC landfills. Proceeds from the sale of refurbished bikes, new accessories, and full-service repairs directly support Bike New York's education programs. They also host weekly classes and community bike rides.
