RUBARB (Rusted Up Beyond All Recognition Bikes!) is a volunteer-run, non-profit community bike shop in the Upper 9th Ward of New Orleans. It provides a free space, tools, and volunteer assistance for residents to repair, build, and maintain their bicycles. The shop was founded in 2006 to reuse flood-damaged bikes after Hurricane Katrina, evolving into a full-scale community resource for bike lending, workshops, and community events.
