Steel Wheels BMX is a volunteer, non-profit organization dedicated to providing BMX racing and riding to the community of Northwest Indiana. It operates two USABMX-sanctioned tracks: an indoor track in Hobart and the outdoor Imagination Glen BMX track in Portage, which is the requested location. The Portage track is co-sponsored by the Portage Parks and Recreation Department and offers practice nights, clinics, racing, and camps from May through September.
