Grab your bike and hit the farm roads with Palmer Land Conservancy for our 6th annual Bike the Bessemer event – a fun-filled and educational ride showcasing Pueblo County’s premier agricultural lands and important water resources.

Pedal through Pueblo’s scenic farmland on a fun, leisurely bike ride (8-10 mph, perfect for all skill levels) that connects you to the land, the farmers, and the food that feeds our community. Starting at St. Joseph’s Parish Hall, you’ll ride to the DiSanti Family Farm to meet multi-generational farmers navigating today’s drought challenges, visit a Bessemer Ditch headgate to learn how water reaches our farms, and return for a farm-to-table lunch featuring local produce. Engagement Climatologist Dr. Allie Mazurek will share insights on water scarcity and climate impacts, while you’ll hear firsthand from farming families about resilience, heritage, and hope. This isn’t just a bike ride—it’s a journey into the heart of Pueblo’s agricultural community and an opportunity to support the farmland conservation efforts that keep families rooted in the land they love.
