The Mane Event Gravel Grinder is a fall gravel cycling event held annually in Sheridan, Wyoming. It offers a variety of courses designed to cater to cyclists of all skill levels, making it an ideal event for both seasoned racers and casual cyclists. The event typically features three main courses: a 25-mile route suitable for beginners and families, a 54-mile loop that includes challenging climbs and rewarding descents, and a 78-mile route for more experienced riders seeking a longer challenge.
Key Features of the Event:
Courses:

  • 25 Mile: An out-and-back route along scenic ranch land with a climb and a downhill finish. It includes a paved section and offers an aid station at the halfway point.• 54 Mile: A loop with several climbs and a long downhill section towards the finish. This route includes both paved and gravel sections.
  • 32 Mile: A small mileage jump from our smallest route but it runs over our ‘triple crown’ climb just like the 54 and 72 mile routes. A truly challenging and beautiful route.
  • 54 Mile: This 54-mile loop is not an easy stroll with a few shorter climbs and a long draw of a climb that will challenge you right in the middle of the route. The long downhill in the last ~15 miles will surely have you smiling as you roll into the finish.
  • 78 Mile: An extended loop that combines rolling hills with highway sections for recovery. It also includes a mix of paved and gravel roads.

• Aid Stations: Strategically placed every 10 miles, providing water, restrooms, and first aid.
• Registration Fees: Include race entry, meal ticket, and a SWAG bag.
• Event Details: The 2025 event will take place on September 20, 2025, at the Koltiska Pumpkin Patch east of Sheridan. It features a new start/finish line setup and additional activities for families.
