LYONS, COLORADO (June 9, 2025) – Prior to the pandemic, Lyons hosted one of Colorado’s favorite festivals, the Burning Can Fest at the Lyons Outdoor Games. It was known for its beer fest, adventure sports, a huge concert and camping at the base of the Rockies. After a five-year hiatus, the festival has been reinvented as the Summer Vibes Bike Rally & Run Fest with some exciting changes. Returning to the festival are rock bands, cold beers, BMX dirt jump jam, the Beer Relay and camping. New to the event are two gravel bike races, a five-mile Trail Dog run, saunas and two lounge pools to cool down in while watching the bands or after a bike/run adventure.
“We’re thrilled for Lyons to experience Summer Vibes for the first time – it’s more than a bike and running race, it’s a celebration of community, adventure and summertime in Colorado,” says Josh Kravetz, Summer Vibes Bike Rally & Run Festival founder and AF Events President. “From trail runs to bike jumps to music and camping, there’s something for everyone, and we couldn’t do it without the amazing support from local partners.”
Cemex, which is sponsoring the Trail Dog Run with bandanas for the doggos.

The Bud Depot isproviding recovery options for participants.
“Cemex is proud to be part of a vibrant, active community like Lyons, and we are thrilled to sponsor the trail dog run and support this new event,” said Michael Clausen, Cemex Corporate Social Responsibility Manager – Lyons Cement Plant. “Events like these are a great reminder of how outdoor recreation, local business and community can all come together to create meaningful connections and new local traditions.”
Proceeds from the event also come back to Lyons. The festival benefits the Lyons Community Fund, Lyons Elevating All Fund and Boulder Open Space Conservancy.
