Buffalo Lodge Bicycle Resort Named Official Colorado Springs Segment for Burrito League
Colorado Springs, CO – January 15, 2026 — Buffalo Lodge Bicycle Resort officially became the designated Colorado Springs loop for the Burrito League on January 12 at noon, joining more than 80 Burrito League loops worldwide across six countries. Several leagues launched earlier this month beginning January 6, and the global event has already attracted more than 4,900 participants following along on social media.
The Colorado Springs loop features a fast and playful .2 mile STRAVA segment located on the Buffalo Lodge Bicycle Resort property. The loop is publicly accessible, dog friendly, and open for runners 24 hours a day through January 31. The local loop is sponsored by Aravaipa Colorado, Trailwinds Hydration, and Buffalo Lodge Bicycle Resort.
In just three days of competition, more than 25 participants have logged at least one lap, generating over 1,900 total laps and a combined 389 miles. Four athletes have already surpassed 20 miles in a single day, an impressive milestone for a brand new segment and league location.
To support participants, Buffalo Lodge Bicycle Resort provides a hydration station, a portable restroom, and access to indoor restrooms during business hours. The property is monitored by security cameras to help maintain a safe and welcoming environment for runners at all hours.
Top male and female finishers on the Buffalo Lodge Bicycle Resort segment will each receive a two night stay at the resort. To celebrate the final day of the challenge on January 31, the resort will also provide 25 Chick fil A burritos and chicken biscuit sandwiches for participants while supplies last.
