Team BELLA Returns to the Baker City Cycling Classic to Support and Grow Women’s Road Racing
BAKER CITY, Oregon —
The Baker City Cycling Classic is proud to announce the return of Team BELLA for 2026, an initiative designed to help more women experience road stage racing in an inclusive, supportive, and team-oriented environment.
Presented by BELLA Mainstreet Market and longtime Baker City Cycling Classic supporter Beverly Calder, Team BELLA is focused on creating opportunities for newer and emerging women racers who may not otherwise have a team or support system for race weekend.
The program is open to women racers who are:
- New to road racing or stage racing
- Racing the Baker City Cycling Classic without a team
- The sole woman racer attending from a local club or team
- Looking for a welcoming and collaborative race experience
This year’s Team BELLA roster will include eight riders on a first-come, first-served basis.
Selected riders will receive:
- Free entry into the 2026 Baker City Cycling Classic
- A complimentary Team BELLA race kit produced by Biciclista and Stefano Spedini
- Coordinated team lodging support through Betty’s Books in downtown Baker City
- The opportunity to race alongside an inclusive group of women riders during one of the Pacific
Northwest’s premier road stage races
“Our goal is simple,” said race director Brian Cimmiyotti. “We want to help remove barriers and create an environment where more women feel welcomed into road racing and stage racing. Team BELLA is about community, mentorship, and making the experience approachable for riders who may be stepping into this world for the first time.”
The Baker City Cycling Classic has long been recognized for its challenging courses, welcoming atmosphere, and deep connection to the Eastern Oregon cycling community. Team BELLA continues that tradition by helping foster participation and camaraderie within women’s racing.
The 2026 Team BELLA kits are currently being produced in Italy through support from Stefano Spedini and Biciclista.

About the Baker City Cycling Classic
The Baker City Cycling Classic is a multi-stage road cycling race held annually in Baker City, Oregon. Featuring road races, time trials, and downtown criterium racing, the event attracts riders from across the Pacific Northwest and beyond while showcasing the scenic landscapes and cycling culture of Eastern Oregon.
