U.S. Pro Cup Returns to Washougal with Elite XC and Short Track Racing

Washougal, Washington — The U.S. Pro Cup Washougal returns to the Pacific Northwest,  bringing elite-level cross-country and short track mountain bike racing to Washougal. Hosted  by Zone 5 Promotions, the event is part of the U.S. Pro Cup, a national series built to provide  today’s top riders and tomorrow’s Olympians with a high-caliber racing environment.

Since its launch in 2009, the U.S. Pro Cup has served as a key proving ground for elite and  developing athletes, offering deep competition, structured race formats, and opportunities to  progress within the national XC pipeline. The Washougal stop continues that role, attracting  riders from across the country to compete at a high level in the Pacific Northwest.

The event weekend will feature cross-country (XC) and short track (XCC) racing, creating a  dynamic schedule that highlights multiple disciplines within modern mountain bike  competition. Short track racing delivers fast, tactical, spectator-friendly action, while the XC  events test endurance, technical ability, and race execution over longer distances.

Racing takes place on the purpose-built trail system in Washougal, known for its combination  of flow, technical features, and sustained climbing. The course challenges elite riders while  remaining accessible to amateur and junior competitors participating throughout the weekend.

In addition to elite categories, the event includes racing opportunities for juniors and amateur  riders, reinforcing the U.S. Pro Cup’s role as both a high-performance series and a  development pathway within American mountain biking. The weekend format creates a rare  opportunity for emerging riders to compete in the same environment as top-level athletes.

The Washougal stop continues to strengthen the Pacific Northwest’s presence on the national  XC calendar, drawing riders, teams, and spectators from across the region and beyond.

Registration is currently open for all categories.
