For female cyclists looking to elevate their performance, connect with an international community of riders, and experience the breathtaking beauty of Andalucía, the ultimate opportunity has arrived. This November, multi-time national and UCI Gravel World Champion Tracey Jacobs is partnering with Vibe Tours to host an exclusive Women’s Spain Camp in Málaga, Spain — and it
promises to be one of the most transformative weeks you will ever spend on a bike.
At AvidCyclist.com, we have previously highlighted Tracey’s profound impact on the cycling community, her philosophy of “raising your floor and breaking your ceiling,” and her remarkable career spanning two decades of elite racing in road, cyclocross, and gravel. Now, she is bringing that same transformative energy to a week-long immersive retreat that blends world-class coaching with the luxury of a European vacation. If you are an intermediate to advanced rider ready to challenge yourself on the bike while enjoying the camaraderie of like-minded women, this camp is designed specifically for you.
A Hybrid Experience: Training Camp Meets Luxury Retreat
Scheduled for November 7–14, 2026, the Women’s Spain Camp is a meticulously planned seven-day experience that goes far beyond a standard cycling tour. Tracey has ridden all over Europe and has experienced everything from casual touring camps to professional team training camps with elite coaches. She designed this retreat to take the very best of both worlds and make it accessible to the dedicated, passionate female cyclist.
“If you want to go to Málaga, if you want to hang out with a bunch of women and have a retreat/training camp, which is what this is… It’s going to be amazing because it’s all women, a woman chef… it’s a beautiful villa, we’re going to bond.”

The camp is capped at just 15 riders, ensuring an intimate environment where every participant receives personalized attention. Riders will stay in a stunning, luxury Andalucían villa surrounded by olive orchards in Villanueva del Rosario — a classic country house complete with a heated pool, sauna, and gym for optimal recovery. Meals will be prepared by a private female chef who specializes in performance nutrition using local, seasonal ingredients, and evenings are spent trading stories around a communal table as friendships are forged.

Transformative Coaching from a World Champion

Tracey Jacobs is not just a champion racer — she is a master technician on the bike and a deeply thoughtful coach. As we covered in our earlier feature on Tracey, her path to cycling excellence was uniquely shaped by her background as a professional dancer and choreographer. That foundation gives her an exceptional ability to read movement, teach body mechanics, and help athletes unlock performance that pure power training alone cannot deliver.
Her goal for the Spain Camp is unambiguous and inspiring:
“My goal is that everyone leaves there transformed as an athlete… it doesn’t matter if someone’s goal is just to ride stronger, ride more efficiently, ride better, or they want to race or climb.”
During the rides, Tracey takes a highly hands-on approach, positioning herself at both the front and the back of the group — and everywhere in between — to pace with individual riders and ensure no one is ever left behind. She is supported by an assistant throughout each day. Each evening concludes with a dedicated post-ride coaching session where Tracey reviews the day’s efforts, checks in on how everyone is feeling, and leads cycling-specific stretching and recovery work. This is not a tour guide leading a group through pretty scenery; this is a world champion coaching you to become a better athlete.
The Routes: Conquering the Hills of Andalucía
The camp features five unique, expertly curated routes that wind through the mountains above Málaga and the ancient towns of inland Andalucía. The routes were meticulously planned in collaboration with local experts who use the region as their home base, ensuring every mile is purposeful and spectacular. Riders can expect to cover between 210 and 272 miles over the week, with total elevation gains ranging from 17,460 to 27,860 feet.
Because of the significant climbing involved, Tracey notes that the group will naturally separate on ascents — allowing each rider to tackle the hills at her own pace, almost like a time trial. Designated regrouping points keep the group connected, and optional climbs are available for those who want to push their absolute limits. A support vehicle is always nearby, so if a rider wants to give everything on a brutal climb and then hop in the van to recover at the villa, that option is fully available and completely judgment-free.
| Ride | Route | Distance | Elevation |
| Ride 1 | Alazores — local mountain loop, summit of Puerto de los Alazores | 38 mi | 3,341 ft |
| Ride 2 | Iznájar — olive-dotted hills to a whitewashed village above a reservoir | 40–60 mi | 3,464–6,058 ft |
| Ride 3 | Antequera — megalithic dolmens, Moorish fortress, optional El Torcal rock formations | 46–51 mi | 3,506–5,537 ft |
| Ride 4 | Comares — Montes de Málaga park, optional climb to panoramic whitewashed village | 41–63 mi | 4,184–7,301 ft |
| Ride 5 | Zaffaraya — dramatic gap descent, switchbacks of Puerto del Sol, lunch at Andalucía’s oldest inn | 43–61 mi | 2,966–5,622 ft |
Mid-week, the group takes a well-deserved rest day to explore the historic city of Granada and tour the Alhambra — a UNESCO World Heritage site and 700-year-old complex of fortifications, gardens, and royal palaces. The day is capped with a visit to Hammam Al-Andalus, an Arab-style bathhouse where riders can recline on warm stones, alternate between hot and cool pools, enjoy a massage, and let those tired legs truly recover.
Who Is This Camp For?
It is important to be clear: this is a leveled camp and is not intended for beginners. Participants must be experienced riders who use clip-in pedals. The terrain is demanding, and while the support structure is exceptional, the expectation is that riders arrive ready to work.
The current roster reflects the camp’s international appeal, with women traveling from Portugal, France, Canada, and the United States. It is an environment designed for bonding, shared learning, and celebrating the strength and spirit of female athletes. Tracey made a deliberate decision to keep this camp women-only, and that choice shapes everything — from the chef to the coaching conversations to the way the group supports one another on and off the bike.
Preparation Is Key — And Tracey Can Help
To get the most out of this incredible experience, Tracey strongly advises participants to arrive prepared. The terrain is beautiful but unforgiving, and she wants every rider to be able to soak it all in rather than simply survive it.
“You don’t want to go into seven days, get over to Spain, have all this opportunity to see this great terrain, and be underprepared… you don’t have to be professional, you don’t have to be on your game… but prepare so that you can have your best experience.”
Tracey recommends simulating the demands of the camp by doing back-to-back training days in the months leading up to November — teaching the body how to ride, recover overnight, and ride again the next day. She is candid that by days three and four, everyone will be on the “struggle bus,” and that is entirely normal and expected. Knowing how to manage fatigue across a multi-day block is itself a key skill that the camp will help develop.
For those who want structured preparation, Tracey Jacobs Coaching offers personalized programs ranging from a single month of focused prep to a full season plan. Riders can also use platforms like TrainerRoad or Peloton for baseline fitness building. The most important thing, Tracey emphasizes, is consistency: “Endurance is cumulative. Keep the engine burning.”
